Optional Device Protection

We are excited to share a new, simpler way for parents to sign up for the Optional Device Protection Plan for student devices. This plan provides families with affordable protection against accidental damage, loss, or theft of district-issued devices.

To support families, FCS has developed multiple resources:

• Step-by-step written instructions for different parent scenarios:
• • New Parents / Parents adding a student to their household
  • Existing Parents with a Parent Portal account
  • New Parents creating a New Parent Portal account
• A short video walkthrough showing parents exactly how to complete the process.

These resources will also be posted on the FCS Strategy and Technology webpage for easy access.

Important Update: The signup window for families has been extended through September 26, 2025.
*After the close of the extended signup window, families can still contact the Technology Support Center at 470-254-HELP (4357) to sign up for the plan. However, the local school-based Technology Support Specialist will inspect the device prior to initiating the coverage.

Our goal is to make this process as clear and accessible as possible so students can stay connected to learning without interruption.
