Principal's Message

Dear Eagle Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! I am thrilled to welcome both our returning families and those joining our school community for the first time. Together, we are embarking on another exciting year of learning, discovery, and growth.

This year's theme, "STEM Minds Shine Bright: Engineered for Success," reflects our commitment to empowering students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in an ever-changing world. As a STEM-focused school, we believe that learning is most powerful when students are actively engaged in solving problems, asking questions, and making meaningful connections across disciplines.

We are proud to continue our journey toward Georgia State STEM Recertification this year. Building on the valuable feedback received during our previous review cycle, we are enhancing our STEM practices by transitioning to year-long Project-Based Learning (PBL) experiences. These extended projects will provide students with opportunities to dig deeper into content, apply their learning in authentic ways, and develop critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Through hands-on learning experiences, cross-curricular projects, and strong community partnerships, we are equipping our students with the skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. Whether they are coding, designing experiments, investigating environmental challenges, or collaborating on innovative solutions, our students are learning to think like scientists, engineers, designers, and global citizens.

The success of our students depends on the strong partnership between home and school. I encourage all families to become actively involved in their child's education this year. Your support, encouragement, and engagement make a tremendous difference in student achievement. From volunteering at school events and participating in family learning opportunities to staying connected with your child's teacher, there are many ways to make a positive impact.

We are also incredibly fortunate to have an exceptionally active PTO and Education Foundation. These dedicated organizations work tirelessly to provide resources, support programs, and create enriching experiences that enhance the educational environment for all students. Their commitment helps ensure that our school continues to be a place where every child can learn, grow, and succeed. I encourage you to join them in supporting the amazing work they do throughout the year.

As we begin this new school year, I am excited to see our students' creativity, curiosity, and innovation shine brightly. Thank you for entrusting us with your children each day. Together, we will continue to inspire excellence, foster a love of learning, and engineer success for every student.
